How we work

Three principles, applied to every engagement.

01

Clarity

We turn concepts into bankable cases by testing strategic fit, quantifying risk and return, and building decision-grade models that withstand investor and regulatory scrutiny.

02

Credibility

Governance, compliance and risk management held to international standards. We align stakeholder incentives and address risk at the outset, not at closing.

03

Collaboration

We bring lenders, investors, developers and policy makers together to unlock value none could realise alone — from the first strategy conversation to final handover.

“We had walked away from two agents before Damon BlaQ. Eleanor priced the house honestly, told us what not to renovate, and we closed eleven per cent over guidance.”

Common questions

The eight things we are asked before every engagement.

Answered here rather than at a meeting, so you can decide whether the meeting is worth your time.

Ask something else
What does a first consultation involve?

An introductory conversation about the asset or the mandate — the market, the constraints, and what a realistic route to execution looks like. No engagement letter is signed at that meeting.

What are your fees, and what do they cover?

[To be confirmed by DBC.] Fees are scoped per engagement — advisory retainer, project-based, or success-linked on capital raising and transaction support. The basis is set out in writing before work starts.

How is an engagement structured, and can I end it?

[To be confirmed by DBC.] Scope, duration and notice period are agreed in the engagement letter before any work begins.

Do you act for both sides of a transaction?

We align stakeholder incentives at the outset and set out any conflict of interest in writing before accepting a mandate.

Which markets do you cover?

The Nigeria–UK corridor — residential, commercial, mixed-use and alternative assets — from offices in Abuja and Brentwood, Essex.

What services do you actually provide?

Real estate strategy and market entry; feasibility, financial modelling and development advisory; capital raising, JV structuring and transaction support; asset management and value-creation planning; ESG integration and risk management; and research on Nigeria–UK real estate.

Do you work with investors as well as developers?

Yes — developers and owners, investors and family offices, and public and institutional stakeholders. What we provide differs by which of those you are.

How quickly will somebody get back to me?

Within a working day, by whichever of a phone call or an email you asked for.

A consultation is ninety minutes, at the property or at our office. No agreement is signed at the first meeting.
